- With a growl, she pushed away from the railing and went to go back inside. Asher stood a few feet behind her, looking at his phone. “Anything?” She knew he had tried to reach Zain again.
- “No.” He shoved the phone in his back pocket and looked across the water. “I don’t get it.”
- “Do you think he’ll call if he needs help?” She gnawed on her lip.
