Chapter 49

• Lance POV.
• The wolf let out a yelp as I pushed him away, and my claws sliced through his neck, but I was unable to finish him off due to the limited time. There is no time to waste. I must hurry and get to Ryan before he has a chance to flee. The van was being driven recklessly, and it came dangerously close to us before screeching to a halt. Upon the sliding open of the door, Ryan is quickly grabbed by a pair of hands and pulled inside.
• “No!” I shout. This is the moment I have been preparing for, and I believe that this is my best chance to finish him. Without hesitation, I sprint towards the van and launch myself at it with all my might. Despite being determined to catch him before he got away, the door slammed shut and the van sped off.
