Chapter 13

• Allison's point of view.
• It's my first night at Maffles, and we've already had an ongoing flow of customers. I'm busy, but not overburdened. There is plenty of time to talk to and get to know the regulars, who are a mix of humans and loners. I actually know some of them from the party we had several nights ago.
• Daniella, Tobby, and Adams have arrived and are seated at the bar. They've come to cheer me on on my first night. The number of customers who stop to say hello indicates that they are regulars here.
