• “ I’m off Brother.” Mackie said and got up, walking closer to his brother, landing a pat on his shoulder. Alac nodded in response and watched him as he walked away. He made sure he heard the door close firmly before his wobbly legs paved way for him as he landed on the bre floor, weak to the core.
• “ Annabel. “ He muttered softly. If only he had known he would lose her so soon, then he would have treated her more nicely.
• “ Please wake.” He whispered and crawled weakly towards her. He had felt his strength left him the moment he knew she couldn’t be saved but he couldn’t bear breaking down in front of his kind.
