Chapter 8

• Josh creased a brow at him. How can he say girlfriend when his fiancee is somewhere in London? Has Luke gone nut, is he mistaking Alex for Miss Sahery?
• "Sometimes you make jokes that make me want to reset your brain. This is not Miss Sahery, alright."
• He smirked and caressed Alex's cheeks which aggregated Alex more. Alex sent him a daggered glare and looked away immediately. She has yet to process everything.
• "Miss Sahery?"
• Alex thought and what she heard next made her heart stop beating.
• "This lady here has been cheating on me while I was away, now that I am back, I have decided to bring her home as my prisoner until she agrees to marry me. Freely or not, she is getting married to me."
• Josh said and made to drag her when Luke slapped him hard across the face.
• The time stopped ticking for a moment.
• Josh rubbed his cheeks and stared hard at his brother. The first time his younger brother is daring him without a reason, he would just let it slide. He had enough already from the lady his brother claimed to be his girlfriend. And so what, even though she is his girlfriend? He lost that title because he is sure Luke is getting married tomorrow to his world as he always says.
• Alex was not shocked because Josh was slapped, she was surprised because he said she is his girlfriend and that she has been cheating on him. Was it in his dreams, it looks like he is mad after all because no man in his sense would hold a lady he doesn't know hostage and still claim her as his girlfriend.
• "Luke, don't dare me again, you know what I can do. I don't care if it's just you and I but the world would crash the day you would try this with me again. Last warning though, go rub your ass if you don't know what to do"
• Luke stared hard at his big bro not knowing what to do at the moment, he went beyond the limit but his brother is pushing him. How can he claim that Alex is his girlfriend, he knows his brother too well. Josh probably knows that she is his girlfriend and he had broken up with her so he had taken the opportunity to pay him back for past mistakes. Even at that, he is not letting Josh use Alex against him because he realized that at that moment, he still loves Alex.
• "Big bro, you and I know the truth, Alex is not your girlfriend and you know she is mine. How can you drag her from nowhere to claim her? Who does that?"
• Josh scoffed at him.
• "The only girlfriend of yours I know is Miss Sahery or have you forgotten that you are to get married tomorrow, do you need a reminder?"
• Each time Alex heard that Luke was to get married, she would clench and grit her teeth. How could Luke do this to her? If not that circumstances brought her here, she would not have been aware of his reasons for breaking up with her. It's all good, that's how love could make you look like a fool. She should have known and for this betrayal, he would pay dearly.
• Seeing the brothers bickering because of her, her heart dropped. She can't even bear to stay here if only the man would let her go"
• "Please sir, all this is not necessary, just let me go and have my Christmas Eve in peace, I beg you, I am not supposed to be here" She pleaded.
• "No my darling, have you forgotten that we have agreed to get married soon? You were so eager to have me home. What happened, tell me, am I not good enough for you? Why would you be so cheap to cheat on me with a low life?"
• Josh said cupping her cheeks so that he can see the expressions on her face, she shivered at the impact of his hand on her skin.
• "You have not served your punishment and that's, you are stuck with me forever whether you like it or not."
• Alex could not remember when she had that kind of arrangement with him, she was here praying for her to escape and he is making matters difficult for her. She asks herself again how she got here with these people.
• Her eyes burned and she sniffed back tears, Josh saw her teary eyes yet he was not moved, he bent down and lapped her tears away with his thumb.
• He strengthened his shoulders up and smirked at the lady in his front then gave a middle finger to his brother. Luke tightened his fist and felt like punching someone.
• Josh waved his hands and dragged Alex with him as he made his way into the mansion with no care in the world.
• He made a step or two and met his grandfather at the entrance. Senior Bleak stared at him and shook his head.
• How come his grandsons are becoming a nuisance? What is Josh doing with a lady in a handcuff, has he become so senseless to the extent of keeping a lady hostage? For crying out loud, did he fail as a grandfather?
• What would society think of his home if they get to see this incident, once this is in the news, the family name would be in the mud.
• What made him angry the most is that his son is somewhere in London having a life with his wife while he as old as he is getting, is making sure the family does not lose its sparks. His poor heart is getting old and he can't hold things anymore.
• Josh looked at his grandfather and chuckled.
• "Hi grandfather, I brought home a wife for you, The Bleak wife. What do you think of her?"
• He asked, smirking.
• Senior Bleak looked closer at the young lady in handcuffs and realized that she is his younger grandson's former girlfriend, Alex Coker, his sweetheart but what is she doing with Josh and what does he mean by he brought home a wife?
• "If I am not mistaken, this is Alex Coker. Is there something two of you are not telling me?"
• He asked and shifted his weight on the other leg. He was tired and was about to have a rest when he heard noises and decided to come to see what it was all about.
