Chapter 13

• "Stacy for heaven's sake why are you calling me, you know I hate calls"
• Josh angrily said the moment he picked up the call, Stacy could feel the venom in his voice. Well, she is used to him so whatever he does now surprise her not at all.
• "I just want to confirm if what I heard is true"
• She questioned him without mincing words.
• Josh knew his brother had called Stacy but so what? It's his life and they should all fvck off. This is a time when people should start minding their business when it comes to the affairs of his life.
• "You heard correctly but if I may ask, what exactly did you hear"
• "Oh, Josh! don't play with my intelligence, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I am talking about your supposed wedding tomorrow. I thought it was Luke's wedding. How come it's now yours and why are you getting married without a bride?"
• Josh chuckled at how silly Stacy sounded at the moment. Her informant should have let her know he had got a bride.
• " Why would I wed without a bride, Stacy?"
• He asked, it's obvious Stacy is dumb or her informant is.
• "Hello dummy, you have forgotten that I am engaged to you. So I was wondering why you would wed without me"
• She replied to him and Josh smirked at his end. It's obvious, she is dumb like he had thought.
• "So because I am engaged to you, I should marry you. Not all engagement leads to marriage, my dear Stacy"
• He said and Stacy clenched her fist that her knuckles were almost turning white. It's obvious she has been played by this bastard. She should have known that he would not marry her but why would he engage her when he never saw a future with her? Josh Bleak does not know who he is dealing with. He got to be joking to think he would cut her off on Christmas Eve, he is a damned joker.
• "I am sure we are done with this conversation, do me a favor and attend my wedding. You will be a special guest and you know how we roll, there might be a good time between us both. Merry Christmas, Miss Stacy Jackson"
• Josh said and continued his journey to his grandfather's room after hanging up.
• Stacy was so boiling in anger that she failed to notice that her father had been with her the whole time.
• "Stacy Jackson, who had made my darling so vexed up"
• He asked with a charming smile on his face, Stacy turned and saw her father standing, looking at her like the Mafia he is.
• "Oh dad, you would believe it!"
• She said almost breaking down.
• "Come here my darling and talk to Dad, who made you sad on Christmas Eve, the person is obviously not informed"
• She went and hugged her dad so tight to herself. Her dad is all she has got now. Before she used to think that Josh was among the important people in her life but it's not so anymore. He just broke up with her indirectly.
• "Dad, can you imagine Josh getting married to nobody"
• She said and sobbed, Mr. Jackson rubbed her back to calm her down. He had actually heard the news before her. He could not believe that Josh of all people would play with his daughter's emotions like this. If not that he is the grandson of his noble friend, Josh might not have lived to his wedding day. Kids these days are inconsiderate.
• "It's fine, my darling. Don't let it get to you. You are beautiful and young, soon another man would find you, believe your daddy on this"
• Mr. Jackson said and Stacy pulled away, she was not crying anymore. Her expression was replaced with the strong resolve of someone not giving up.
• "Dad, Nah, I disagree with you on this one. Josh is mine and no lady would take him away from me. Do you know that the lady in question is Luke's ex-girlfriend? I am sure she is marrying Josh to get back at Luke and you want me to fold my arms and let the wedding happen. No way, dad, it's not happening. Josh Bleak is a fool to do this to me"
• "Stacy, you and I know that Senior Bleak does not look for trouble but that does not mean he can't buy one. I don't want you to do anything, Josh might have been forced by his grandfather. So chill, my dear, and think again, no human is worth dying for. I love you my dear but on this, I am not with you and you will bear the consequences of your actions if you ever try anything."
• Mr. Jackson said and walked out of his daughter's room.
• "Damnit!"
• Stacy cursed aloud. It's surreal to her that her father would abandon her in a time like this, he was supposed to be her backbone. This is the reason she always wished her mom was still alive. Her mom would die the world for her. She thought she had established an understanding with her dad but it's obvious he doesn't love her enough to fight for her.
• Whether he supports her or not, she is doing this on her own and would make sure that the gold digger of a girl pays, she can't let her have Josh.
• She punched in a number on her phone and walked out of her room. It's her or no one else.
• ….. Somewhere in London
• Junior Bleak was seen parking his suitcase when his wife came in with a lot of shopping bags. She had gone shopping for Christmas. What can't be told is why their son is to get married tomorrow and they are still in London, this is to tell you that Junior Bleak thinks only of his wife. He feels life is a passing phase and it should be enjoyed to the fullest, his two sons are old enough so they can take care of themselves. If not that his father insisting that they come home, he would not have attempted anyway. He had been looking forward to a steamy Christmas with his wife but now the plan changed.
• Parents are supposed to be up and doing, making sure that the supposed wedding goes as planned but not so in the Bleak Mansion. It's one weird family that people fail to understand how they think, the only reasonable human among them is Senior Bleak.
• Funny how people's perspective of life is, you can't do more than you feel you can do.
• JB (Junior Bleak) scanned his wife and smiled, heaven blessed him by giving him a sexy woman even after two boys and many years in marriage she is still stunning and sexy, can your wife ever?
• "Hello darling"
• Susan Bleak said the moment she dropped the shopping bags.
• They were in their apartment in London, the one Senior Bleak used to stay in each time he visits London but he stopped visiting a long time ago, so automatically the apartment became theirs, and since JB had more than enough he did not believe in working for more. If there is a way his father would pass the management to one of his sons, then he would be relieved.
• "Looks like you bought the whole mall"
• JB smirked and pulled his wife to him and crushed his lips on hers.
• "Oh my, I have missed these sexy lips of yours. Each time you are away, I can't but miss you so much"
• He said when he broke the kiss, the wife blushed and pulled away.
• "Dad called and said Josh is getting married instead and I wonder why, I have called Luke but he is not taking my calls"
• Susan Bleak said looking at the husband to see his reactions but none played out.
• "Well, I am sure it has everything to do with father, we will just find out when we get back to the state"
• He said and sat on the bed. The bed is big enough to contain six people or more. It was kingly enough.
• " I guess so, I wonder how Luke will be feeling"
• She said thoughtfully.
• "They are grown-ups and they should be able to take care is themselves so my dear don't bother and come tell me how the shopping went, besides we will see them in a few hours, our flight takes off at 2 am and we would be home for Christmas"
• He said and the wife sighed. She was sure that they would see them in a few hours but she sometimes wonders what kind of a mother she is but that thought never stays longer than it came.
• She is her husband's spec and they think alike, to them, they are doing nothing wrong.
