• "Preposterous! How dare you do that? Father had given clear instructions that that useless man's chair should be where it has always been. Samantha, you should even count yourself lucky that father allows him to dine with us," Richard, Brian's father said. He was fuming so much that in cold have thought that Sam had taken out the safety pin of a hand grenade in the mansion.
• "It's okay Richard," the old man said to his son and then turned to Samantha, "Samantha, what makes you think you have the authority to go against my wishes?" He asked with a look that dared her to defy him.
• "I'm not going against your wishes grandfather. I just don't want Tara to see her father being treated like a lowly person. She had had enough criticisms about his absence and the last thing I need is her questioning why everyone else ate at the table but her father ate alone," she said as she squeezed Tyson's hand so hard that if he was a girl, his fingers would have snapped.
