• Michael Jones had never once wished harm upon his own brother, Kane. He could not fathom that the very sibling he had grown up idolizing—or perhaps resenting in equal measure—was now gone, dead, and that the cruel irony of fate placed the responsibility squarely in his own hands. He could not accept it. Not fully. The thought gnawed at him like a wolf trapped in a snare: his own actions had sent Kane to the depths of the Angel Reform Academy, a place as merciless as any Emberwood Pack prison, and now his brother was dead.
