Chapter 2 One Raunchy Night

  • Knockout was a type of cocktail, a signature drink of the MC Bar.
  • Countless men and women patronized the bar and ordered the signature drink just so they could get intoxicated. The bartender seemed to have seen a fair share of the likes of Clarice. Without even batting an eyelid, the bartender prepared her drink right away. The crystal clear liquid was beguiling.
  • Clarice swirled the drink in her hand and downed it all in one go.
  • The sharp, astringent flavors of mint burned through her throat like a ball of fire.
  • Her face was tinged pink, making Clarice appear more alluring than ever.
  • The men who threw her salacious stares were practically stripping her naked with their wayward stares. Some were already eager to make their moves.
  • “Another one.”
  • A man dressed impeccably in a suit took a seat beside Clarice and ordered another drink for her. “My treat,” he said.
  • Clarice had only one thing in mind—to get drunk and let herself go wild. Without even sparing the man a glance, she took the drink and downed it in one go again.
  • This time, however, she had been too hasty and choked on the drink.
  • “Be careful,” the man said as he patted her on the back, feeling her up at the same time.
  • The touch of her silky smooth skin made the man burn with lust.
  • “Get lost!” Disgusted by the man's brazen attempt to take advantage of her, she hissed at the man to dismiss him.
  • She paid for her drinks, got up from her seat, and staggered her way out.
  • “You're drunk. Let me send you home.”
  • The man hurriedly stood up and reached out to grab Clarice's wrist. In an attempt to dodge the man's grip, Clarice stumbled and bumped into another man's chest.
  • The man in the suit turned pale at the sight of the man whom Clarice had bumped into and scurried off into the crowd quietly.
  • Clarice was clearly drunk out of her wits.
  • The faint smell of cologne that hit Clarice made her circle her hands around the man without a hint of hesitation as she burrowed herself into the man's chest.
  • “You smell... good,” she mumbled to herself and lifted her head, giving the man a silly grin. “You smell so good... So I'm going to choose you!”
  • Elijah Zimmerman lowered his head to peer at the woman who bumped into him. A surprised look flashed across his face.
  • It's her.
  • Is she drunk?
  • Clarice's petite face was tinged red, her almond-shaped eyes glistened under the flashing neon lights. Her full and voluptuous figure was enticing, tempting him to sneak a taste.
  • What a little minx.
  • “Uncle, follow me home tonight. I will pay you dearly, just spend one night with me... Just one raunchy night.”
  • Does she take me for a... gigolo?
  • And did she just call me Uncle?
  • Elijah pinched her chin and stared into her eyes. His thin, beckoning lips twitched disapprovingly, “Uncle? Do I look that old?”
  • Muacks.
  • “It's... soft. Not bad,” Clarice slurred her words, drunk beyond her wits. She found the man's scent appealing.
  • Unable to inhibit herself when his lips edged close, she pecked on his lips.
  • It feels nice. At least it's not at all disgusting.
  • However, Elijah Zimmerman was utterly stumped.
  • The tame, docile kitten in his arms had somehow turned into a saucy little minx.
  • Xavier had never seen that side of her.
  • “Are you coming with me or not? I-I have money!”
  • Clarice was starting to get exasperated when she did not manage to get a reply from the man. She sank her fingers forcefully into his chest and pouted, “Forget it if you're not interested. I-I'll go look for another one.”
  • She let go of Elijah and turned around to hunt for her next target.
  • In a swift motion, Elijah circled his hands around her waist and locked her in his embrace.
  • “Who are you going to look for huh?”
  • “Well, as long as it's not you!”
  • Clarice had no idea that she was in fact in great trouble as she struggled to free herself.
  • “It's getting late.”
  • Elijah let out a cold snicker. He pinched her chin and planted a kiss on her lips.
  • “Hmm...”
  • Unlike Clarice's innocent little peck on the lips, Elijah's kiss burned with hot passion as he kissed her in a domineering manner.
