- I needed answers, and I needed them quickly. My mind was racing with thoughts of Tila and her confidence about Phillip. I couldn't let her win this time, and the only way to stop her was to make sure she didn’t get what she wanted. And Phillip—he was the key. I couldn’t let him fall into Tila’s hands. He had always been the one she wanted, the one she thought she could claim without question.
- That’s when I remembered Sarah. She had always been there for me, a loyal friend who never judged. And, as it turned out, she was also Phillip’s cousin. This was my chance to find out more about him—how to make sure Tila didn’t stand a chance.
- I grabbed my phone and called her, trying to keep the tremor out of my voice. “Sarah, I need to talk to you. Can I come over?”
