- Philip’s grandmother and Faye walked out of the seer’s small house in silence. The air outside was cool, and the wind carried the faint smell of burning candles.
- As soon as they stepped off the porch, Philip’s grandmother spoke sharply. “She’s mad. That woman is mad! I shouldn’t have brought you to this place.”
