Chapter 169 Daxton
- Being prepared to become a Gamma was taking more organization than I had expected. But, it was not a role I had ever planned to be taking. This role was always a role for my older brother Finn. He had been preparing since he was old enough to realize he would be taking the title from our Dad when the day came. Me, I was more coasting along, enjoying life with my friends... The elder son inherited the title from the father, and I had been good with that. But, the moment Landon had asked me to consider being his Gamma, I knew it was not an opportunity I could turn down.
- The highest rank I had expected was warrior, after choosing to attend the warrior training facility, and train with the warriors that I called my friends. Kaleb, being the second bourne son to an alpha had chosen the same path. We had many friends who were warriors and it had seemed like a good choice for us. One that thankfully both our fathers had supported. But now we had this chance, and our lives had been turned upside down in a moment. But, I had to say, I was excited! It meant leaving the pack we called home, but we would not be far away, and we would be moving to another pack that felt like home...
- When I had given my parents the new, the amount of tears my Mum had cried had been beyond ridiculous, I couldn't tell if that was because of me moving away, or because she was proud. Her crying voice turns into a weird noise and became indecipherable, so I smiled and gave her a hug, while my Dad smiled on proudly. As for my Dad, he seemed proud. He had seen it had been a chance I was crazy to turn down, and thankfully Uncle Knox agreed too. Not just for me, but for Kaleb too. We would both be part of the leadership team of a pack that meant a lot to both of our families. And we got to do that while standing alongside our best friend. Things were good. Things were changing. And while there was still plenty to do, we had so much to look forward to. I think the three of us, or the five of us now with Kent and Joey joining, would be a strong team.
