Chapter 46

• Five days have passed since my conversation with the PI and since my return to St. Augustine, and throughout that time, every day, if not every hour, I've been thinking about telling Victoria how much I love her.
• I've been feeling a range of emotions, from acceptance to resentment, that I haven't tried to make amends with her sooner. Perhaps it was learning about my mom. Like the PI, Victoria asked me if I wanted to return to Cuba. I had always said there was no way in hell, but I've been considering it more and more.
• It may be because Victoria and I have a future together and get along. I wish to reconcile with my history in some way.
