Chapter 34
- Taking a deep breath, I enter my office (which I now share with Miguel) and walk about. Monday morning, after our altercation in the kitchen, we established a tense truce. After another round of heated sex and a somber meal, they called a truce. Along with watching a movie in bed, we cuddled up by the time we went to sleep. - My mind replays every moment we've been together previously. He has no desire to discuss the past. My heart is being torn apart by it.
- Looking up from a spreadsheet is Miki. Miki says, "Good morning..." and then pauses suddenly. His phrase of affection seems so out of place in the office that I give him a hard look.
