Chapter 45
- Stretching on my back in the park, I felt the cool grass tickle my arms. It was a leisurely Miami late afternoon. The warm breeze carried a hint of salt, and Miguel and I sat on a blanket in the shade. Everything appeared in vibrant colors, from the sky's blue to the green of the tall palm trees.
- Miki hadn't stopped worrying out loud, but I sensed he wasn't entirely happy about my assignments reporting crime, even though my work on the paper was excellent and intellectually engaging.
