Chapter 15

• As I walked down the street, the rain stopped. My clothing was soaked and so was my hair, but there was smoke and flames of fire which seemed to be coming from the direction of my street. I crossed the street, eager to see what was going on, and then I turned the corner. There was a crowd standing outside and fire fighters were there. As I got closer, my heart broke even more.
• Fresh tears streamed down my face as I stood in the street, watching as the fire fighters extinguished my now ruined apartment building. I am not the only one who lost a home, but everyone that lived in there. “Ora?” I heard that familiar voice but I just stood glued to my spot. I feel his hand gently on my back. I turned around to face him, his blue eyes were saddened.
• “I don’t have anything left.” I sobbed and he wrapped his arms around me. His scent hit my nostrils.
