Chapter 19

• I walked down the street towards the university building and Max was waiting for me on the sidewalk. I texted him when I left Emery’s apartment. He was wearing his black jeans and light blue t-shirt, his dark hair falling over his forehead. He was kind enough to check up on me after the fire when no one else had even called me to see if I was okay.
• Even though I do not trust anyone, I would still keep my distance from Max, but I guess I need to get to know him better. The friends that I had last year just gave me trust issues.
