• I walked out of the study room, leaving Emery all by himself. My heart is heavy with this news. Was my whole life a lie? Was I going through this all for nothing when I had a mother out there? Every step that I took felt heavy as I walked to my room. Was this a reason why I had to run into Emery?
• I stepped inside my room and I closed the door behind me. My back pressed against the door as I shut my eyes and the tears just began to stream down my face. My heart is heavy at this news and I just let it out silently because I do not want Emery to hear me sob. I have many answers as I think about it, I walked over to the bed and I sat down. Moving further up on the bed so that my back was pressed against the headboard. Tears blurred my vision as the pit in my stomach didn’t seem to help with the scream that I had inside of me that was waiting to come out.
