Chapter 27
- Dante walked towards his chamber, his expression still serious and contemplative after the conversation with Freya. The weight of her questions and the underlying tension between them lingered in his mind. As he reached the door, a guard ran towards him, his breath labored from the exertion. The guard's face was flushed, and his eyes were wide with urgency, a stark contrast to the calm and composed atmosphere that usually pervaded the hallway.
- Dante's expression turned questioning as he turned to face the guard, his eyes narrowing slightly in anticipation of bad news. "What is it?" he asked, his voice firm and commanding, a tone that brooked no hesitation or delay. The guard's frantic state only added to Dante's sense of foreboding.
- The guard struggled to catch his breath before speaking, his chest heaving with effort. "Outsiders... they've invaded the Bloodmoon pack," he managed to say, his voice shaking slightly. The words tumbled out in a rush as if he couldn't contain the news any longer. "Two people have been missing since yesterday night."
