Chapter 25
- Lady Elara's face twisted in anger as she spoke, her voice laced with venom. "Rowan, what made you and your daughter summon this courage?" she asked, her words dripping with malice. Rowan's expression, on the other hand, was sly and confident, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. "It's about time I get out of my shell, Elara," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
- As she turned to Dante, Rowan's expression changed to one of respect, and she bowed her head in greeting. "Greetings to the Alpha," she said, her voice polite and courteous. "I'm sorry for causing trouble with the dinner you arranged." Her eyes flicked up to meet Dante's, and for a moment, they locked gazes.
- Dante's expression was unreadable, his face a mask of calmness. Lady Elara and Freya, however, were seething with anger, their faces red with rage. Rowan's words had struck a chord, and they seemed to be simmering just below the surface.
