• Pushing myself out of the pool, I shake my head from side to side, forcing out the excess water. It’s been a while since I had such a refreshing bath. If I had a choice, I’d stay in the pool longer — but I don’t.
• Hurriedly, I grab a few random clothes from a line and put them on. I’d disguise myself as an Epsilon, but my Omega scent would give me away before I even take two steps out the door. Instead, I settle for a servant disguise.
• I learned of Xander’s departure a little too late, but as soon as I did, I unlocked the cell doors and escaped. His newfound indifference toward me made my passage that much easier.
