Chapter 44 Skylar 🐺

• Aran hasn't been back here since he left with the Epsilon who announced Xander's arrival. It hasn't been long, but it's difficult getting myself to focus on any other thing. The fear of him betraying Nettle and I plague my thoughts and dreams.
• Out of agitation, I begin to pace back and forth in my cell, my mind racing with the implications of Aran's knowledge. It is made worse by an overwhelming feeling of impending doom; one that stubbornly clings to me.
• A sense of impending disaster, one that leaves me with the terrifying certainty that my entire world is on the verge of collapse.
