Chapter 243 A Plague to avoid

  • It was a difficult time for Paul. He had to choose who to keep by his side and who to send somewhere else to get help. Would he keep his wife and assist her in recovering soon enough so they could be back as a happy family again. But that would mean sending his daughter away to be taken care of by someone else. Could he do such a thing as send his daughter away? It was like taking his sunshine away. Paul could not fathom how to live without his beautiful angel, but aside from that, he could not find it in his heart to send a helpless baby away. The father knew that his baby needed her parent’s love and care. If not from her mom, at least her dad should be around. Losing them both by her side was of no difference to orphans.
  • But if Paul chooses his daughter, he will have to send his wife to a medical facility to get treatment, be treated, and return home when she gets better. In Paul’s thoughts, his wife was old enough. She could somehow care for herself, unlike the newborn baby, Nyll. And maybe being apart for a while from the child would help her recover faster.
  • So, Paul decided to send Anika to a health institute while he personally took care of his daughter. He was a man without experience doing such things, and so he had a very challenging time. To top it all off, Paul missed his wife so much. In his misery, he turned to alcohol in seek for comfort. He needed to rest his head from overthinking, self-blame and negativity. Until he did not notice he was drowning in his alcohol addiction in a very short span of time. He neglected his daughter’s welfare in the process as he wouldn’t be sober to feed her in time and would be annoyed when the baby started wailing, asking for food.
