He grumbled something under his breath, but I could see the smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, still grinning.. Despite his attempts to be insufferable, I knew he was happy to see me embracing my role as duchess, even if it meant I couldn’t always be by his side. To be fair, he is quite busy too.
