Chapter 21
- “Is this even legal?” I asked as I stared at the sleek black jet like it was going to snap at me if I went any closer. He’d just casually driven us to the port and he still he hadn’t told me why we were here.
- Grayson didn’t answer though, he was making some last minutes arrangements with a staff in a black suit and comms in his ear that the wires disappeared into the back neck of his shirt. Grayson was busy checking his watch now still casually issuing instructions out like he’s done it a hundred times before—like he was born inside a hangar rather than a hospital. And because it was Grayson Victor Wolfe, I wouldn’t be surprised if that turned out to be true.
- “This feels unnecessary, Mr. Wolfe.” I huffed as I followed him as he walked up the stairs to the private jet when he was done speaking to the male staff. “Like being kidnapped—just, you know, with extra glitter and fewer threats.”
