Chapter 63 Crashing Hopes

• It had been exactly three weeks since I made the decision to finally keep my baby. I registered for antenatal care. As a first time mother, I am required to have at least ten antenatal appointments, which will be more frequent after 24 weeks.
• During which the midwife in charge of me told me I showed early signs of depression and anxiety, which wouldn’t be nice for the baby.
• I had a screening test to check for certain genetic conditions, a blood test, UTI and the rest. After booking a dating scan, the doctor told me she would work out the due date of my baby.
