Chapter 6 Desperate Measures

• ‘Salary of Dog Caretakers in Miami’ i typed the word on the google search bar.
• “Ok what do we have here….”I click on the link leading to a job opening for a dog walker .
• “$14 per hour , hmm Ty paid better tho , next “
• “$1,000 dollars per week, that’s the spirit “ I open the link for the requirements and read it out loud.
• “Do you want to make an extra $1000 monthly working mornings and evenings ?”
• Duhrr , who doesn’t want to to make an extra $1000 , isn’t that right Wena. I turned to an unbothered Queen who was stretching on the bed.
• “What if we told you that you could cancel that gym membership , and we would pay you to exercise while caring for pets…” i kept on reading the requirements till I saw Licenses or previous pet sitting experience is a plus,
• “Fuck, I didn’t even finish my DVM programme at the uni, I give up “ I threw my phone on the bed and moved sluggishly to the kitchen .
• “The Queef is finally awake , don’t you have a job to be at ? Tyrone left like 20 minutes ago” said sally while counting dollar notes on the floor
• “I quit”
• “Chile so anyways …” she continued counting her money
• “That’s all you’re going to say ?”
• “It’s the least you could do for acting …. Hmm how will I word it “
• “I guess he already told you” except for the fact that I caught him on 4k sucking camel toes face.
• “I get where you’re coming from but she could have pressed charges against you babe and you definitely don’t want that , you don’t let your emotions cloud your reasoning “ she stopped counting her money and turned fully to me
• “Where we have strong emotions, we're liable to act like a fool .Anyone can be angry - that is easy. But to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way - that is not easy."
• “Logic will not change an emotion, but action will." I retorted
• “Babe you have to think next time before you let your emotions cloud your sense of reasoning . But ole girl deserved what came for her …. what’s funny why are you laughing?”
• "I’m not," I replied , obscuring my mouth with my hand. "Carry on . . ."
• “Bad dog ,bad wena “ Sally erupted when she caught Wena taking some bills in her mouth. I picked her up and started rubbing her tummy.
• “I’m moving to Miami “ I murmured
• “How dare you drop that bombshell on me “ Sally huffed and tossed her hair over her shoulder.
• “Relax , I just need to find myself and do what I love the most “
• “Will you ever stop being a child?”
• “How am I acting like a child exactly?” I raised an eyebrow
• “I’m joking silly, but Miami of all places ? The rent there alone is sick “
• “Well I have some cash with me for some start and I could get a job as a dog walker”
• Sally sighed and got up from the floor
• “I’m sorry things had to be like this yaya, but if this is what you want who am I to stop you?”
• “Oh wow you can’t wait to get rid of me”i concord my head
• “I once read the Haute 100 Miami list of hot poweful men”.
• Ugh here we go again
• “And three hand full of them live in Miami, after fumbling your first love I need you go into the world and fly my little birdie”
• “Pablo wasn’t my first love I don’t even know his last name ,it’s getting weird jiggly Sally”
• She scowls at me “Diabolical, Yaya.”
• “Hmm that coffee looks good maybe I should make myself one”
• I turn away and go to the coffee maker.
• In the middle of drinking my sexy iced coffee, Sally came with an atomic bomb
• “I’m pregnant” I spilled my coffee so hard it came out of my nose and eyes. Well it definatelt didn’t come out of the latter but you get my point .
• “Fuck….you almost …. Killed me” I chocked and gasped for air while grabbing some paper towels to clean my PJs.
• “Ty is going to be a cute father” Sally casually said while I was struggling for my life “we are about to receive the most adorable present of our life. Can’t wait to make videos of him stuffing our baby with food “
• Yeah like the way he’s stuffing his head waitress.
• I was happy and pissed at the same time . I hate men
• “I’m so happy for you Sal , who would have thought”
• “I’m 2 weeks in , it’s feels weird”Sally replied while rubbing her tummy
• “Are you sure Tyrone would want this , hope he wouldn’t be a complete asshole about the baby”
• She shrugged her shoulder and walked towards the back porch . It was just like my mum and dad all over again. A cheating man who had a loving and caring partner he took for granted.
• “I’m going to be an aunt that’s crazy , ooh i want it to be a baby girl so we could play dress up”
• “Girl , boy what ever gender you’re still going to babysit”
• “I definitely will not” I picked Wena up who was busy struggling with her chew toy “when are you going to make me a grandma anyways? I’m not getting younger” she licked my face in agreement .
• “Now, let’s hide all the alcohol before Mummy jiggly Sally comes up here and figures out what we did”
• “I can literally hear you” Sally shouted from the Porch.
• Later that day ,I took a stroll down red river cultural district when Wena took me for a long fast walk while chasing a kid in a bicycle. This dog amazes me sometimes , thank goodness I put a leash on her.
• After what seems to be a 100 marathon ,the kid stops his bicycle and enters a shop, a cockroach pet shop. Why does that even exist? Imagine having a pet as a cockroach.
• And that’s when a mini sinister diabolical thought came to my mind.
