Chapter 159 Compelled

  • For the past month, he has been trying to lift the enchantress spell from prince Mano’s mind but with no success. Shaman Khelben might have been around for a few hundred years and knew all about the royals and the council, but he does not know what they look like, therefore he does not know who prince Mano was. Shaman Khelben and his family are also not involved with the supernatural world and that was why they are such an easy target because they don’t have the protection of the higher council. Because no one from their pack attends council meetings they don’t know yet that there are such vampires as prehistoric. Since no prehistoric vampires have actually escaped from the ice beside king Thorvald about a thousand years ago, his pack had no way of knowing that hybrids are not the only ones that can exist in daylight.
  • “Maybe she is a hybrid. Yesterday I practiced some of the spells and a few of the nuns mocked me so when they came closer, I pretended to put a spell on them to scare them, but it was only the hymn that undoes the vampire compelling,” Prince Mano explained.
  • “Shh,” Shaman Khelben looked out of the made-shift window.
