Chapter 2 Breakup

  • Deacon pressed Jessica against the wall, preventing her from leaving. “Before the spell, you were going to claim me and today you found yourself in love with me. Stop denying your feelings for me,” Deacon said, with his body against hers.
  • “I am not in love with you,” Jessica hissed, looking him dead in the eye.
  • “If you were not in love with me, the spell wouldn’t have unraveled,” Deacon chuckled and forced a kiss onto her lips.
  • “Bitch!” Deacon shouted and let go of her after she bit his lip.
  • Jessica tried to get away, but Deacon grabbed her again.
  • “Let go of me or I will scream!” Jessica warned him.
  • “Everything ok here?” Juno’s voice made them both jerked their heads around.
  • Juno was the former Lycan and Supernatural king, now only a prince and Jessica’s biological father even though he looked as young as her, currently pretending not to be her father but merely the boyfriend of her cousin who happened to be her biological mother.
  • “You! I know you are my bloody father!” Jessica spat at him and pulled out of Deacon’s hold.
  • “I take it she fell in love with you,” Juno said, his complexion tanned, his eyes brown and his hair as dark as Jessica’s.
  • “I am not in love with him!” Jessica shouted and stomped off.
  • “She wants to tell Ann the truth,” Deacon said, and rushed after her, Juno following close behind.
  • “Jessica, you can not tell Ann. Her spell has to unravel by itself,” Juno warned her.
  • “Who does she have to fall in love with for that to happen?” Jessica questioned, furious.
  • “Most likely Paris or Micheal,” Deacon said.
  • “Michael?” Jessica enquired, her memory not fully intact yet.
  • “The Vampire King,” Deacon said, with a frown, looking at Juno.
  • “It appears that your memory is not completely back yet,” Juno said. “I will mind link Ondrink to find out about Ann,” Juno said.
  • “Ondrink?” Jessica questioned, still confused. “Nevermind,” she said, as her memory of Mr. Ondrink flooded back. “I am going to kill him,” she spat in anger because she just remembered that he was the one that put the spell over her, robbing her of her memory. For a moment, she remembered her decision right before her memory got wiped. ‘I was going to claim him,’ she thought, and looked at Deacon.
  • “I will mind link Ondrink myself,” Jessica said, coming to a halt in front of her bedroom door.
  • “Whatever you do, don’t tell Ann. We don’t know what effect it will have on her memory,” Deacon warned.
  • “Tell my mother I don’t want to ever speak to the two,… the three of you, ever again,” Jessica said, and went into her dorm room.
  • Jessica looked over at where Ann was sleeping and walked over to her own bed and sat down.
  • ‘How do I keep such a big secret from her?’ Jessica wondered when more memories came back. Jessica remembered the day she met Wynn. His blond hair and beautiful blue eyes in printed in her memory. ‘How could I have forgotten about him?’ She questioned herself as memories of her true fated mate twice over returned in full. Jessica remembered how her best friend, Ann, dated Wynn first, making him off limits to her, and how things changed after she fated to Wynn for the first time. She chuckled at herself at the memories.
  • ‘I guess if she was able to keep such a secret from me for months I can do the same to her,’ Jessica thought and wondered if they would have still been studying together as best friends if their memories were not wiped. ‘Things will never be the same,’ she told herself and remembered that she had to mindlink Mr. Ondrink, her former teacher and pack shaman, to find out how to make the spell unravel for Ann as well.
  • ‘Mr. Ondrinnk?’ Jessica tried to mind link, her own memory a bit foggy as to how to do it.
  • ‘Jessica? I heard that you got your memory back,’ Mr. Ondrink responded to her mind link.
  • ‘You had no right,’ Jessica responded in anger.
  • ‘Let me explain,’ Mr. Ondrink tried, but Jessica had no interest in his explanation, feeling she can't trust anyone.
  • ‘Just tell me how to unravel the memory spell on Ann,’ Jessica mind linked.
  • ‘She has to fall in love with Michael,’ Mr. Ondrink informed her.
  • ‘Why Michael? Why not Paris?’ Jessica questioned, confused.
  • ‘It was not my choice. Michael, being the king of the Vampires, had the final say,’ Mr. Ondrink mind linked.
  • ‘But she is in love with Paris,’ Jessica mind linked.
  • ‘How did that happen?’ Mr. Ondrink questioned.
  • ‘They have been dating all summer. I have not seen Michael once. Where is he?’ Jessica demanded to know.
  • ‘Paris was not supposed to hook up or come in contact with Ann,’ Mr. Ondrink mind linked and Jessica could pick up his agitation.
  • ‘Did you all truly believe that he will just stand down?’ Jessica snorted. ‘Where is Micheal?’
  • ‘Last I heard, he went searching for his family,’ Mr. Ondrink mind link.
  • ‘So instead of pursuing Ann, he went looking for his prehistoric wives? How the hell is she supposed to fall in love with someone that has a dozen wives and not around?’ Jessica mind linked and sighed loudly, waking Ann up.
  • “Hey you. I thought you went out with Deacon?” Ann stressed and reach over to her phone to check the time.
  • Jessica cut Mr. Ondrink out. “We broke up.”
  • “What?” Ann sat up at the news. “But just this morning, you said, you are in love with him.”
  • “I know, but after seeing him this morning I decided that I don’t want to spend my varsity years tied up with just one guy,” Jessica lied and fell down on her bed. “Will have to bring our own mattresses,” she complained.
  • “Tell me about it,” Ann said, and put her phone down again.
  • Ann was about to continue her nap when the dorm room burst opened. “Hello roomies,” Shysie said, and threw her bags on the only bed vacant.
  • “Thank you brother dearest,” Shysie said, and took her luggage from her twin brother Wynn.
  • ‘How is it even possible for her to be in brought daylight?’ Jessica wondered, looking at Shysie, who, according to her memories, was nothing but a vampire, unlike her twin brother Wynn, that was a hybrid. ‘Or was a hybrid?’ Jessica asked herself, her eyes on him, remembering that Deacon and his brothers burnt his wolf part to death.
