CHAPTER 14 Goodbye, Jack Wood

• The incubator room covered in warm yellow light was utterly different from the freezing operating room.
• The baby was finally safe, but somehow he just kept crying, as if he knew he had lost his mother.
• Jack took over the baby, which began to cry even harder. The cry disturbed Jack, like it was accusing him of what he had done on Stephanie. He tried his best to get rid of this strange thought and refocus himself on the baby.
