Chapter 7 The Most Respectable Man In R City

  • Upon hearing that there was a scuffle going on in the lobby, Ji Fuchen scanned the place with his dignified eyes. His pupils dilated upon seeing Min Lingrui.
  • The first thought that crossed his mind was that his son was being bullied.
  • He frowned. Didn’t Yan Su send Xuan home? What is he doing here?
  • Ji Fuchen decided to teach the bullies a lesson before punishing Yan Su for his negligence.
  • Ignoring the manager, Ji Fuchen strode toward Min Qing and her son. His expression turned colder as he saw Min Lingrui’s reddened eyes.
  • “M-Mr. Ji, what a coincidence! I didn’t expect to see you here.” He Anzhou had always wanted to collaborate with Ji Group. The PR team he had sent over never managed to achieve a satisfactory outcome, and even he couldn’t meet Ji Fuchen when he went over personally.
  • Yet Ji Fuchen had shown up in front of him.
  • He Anzhou let go of Min Shan’er and introduced himself. He then stretched out his arm, wanting to shake hands.
  • Min Mucong’s eyes shone as though he had just discovered a pot of gold. With a smile on his face, he proactively introduced himself to Ji Fuchen as He Anzhou’s future father-in-law.
  • Min Shan’er had long heard of Ji Fuchen, but realized how much more charming he looked in person compared to his photos in all the magazines.
  • She held her breath. With He Anzhou and Ji Fuchen standing next to each other, the differences were obvious. Why couldn’t she have met the latter sooner?
  • She wouldn’t even have fallen for He Anzhou otherwise.
  • It’s all because of that b*tch, Min Qing! If she hadn’t liked He Anzhou, I wouldn’t have either.
  • The entire family’s gaze fell on Ji Fuchen. It was as though they had completely forgotten about Min Qing’s existence.
  • The whole spectacle seemed inappropriate, even to an outsider like the manager. It looked as though this family was deliberately holding a wedding here so that they could butter the president Ji Fuchen up!
  • Ji Fuchen didn’t even bother to look at He Anzhou’s hand, let alone shake it. He bent down and muttered a word of thanks to Min Qing, then carried Min Lingrui over from the woman’s arms.
  • The surrounding crowd inhaled sharply. With the boy now in the man’s arms, he had to be Ji Fuchen’s son.
  • That family who had just offended Min Lingrui was about to be in big trouble.
  • He Anzhou felt incredibly awkward with Ji Fuchen’s icy demeanor. He froze when the man picked up Min Qing’s illegitimate child.
  • Even Shen Hongmei and Min Shan’er were dumbfounded too. Why was such a respectable man like Ji Fuchen carrying that bastard child?
  • With Min Lingrui in Ji Fuchen’s arms, their faces looked so similar, as though the little boy had been carved out from the same mold.
  • “Who bullied my son? Who called me trash?” The extremely protective Ji Fuchen glanced coldly at He Anzhou, Min Shan’er, and the elderly couple.
  • What?
  • This bastard child is Ji Fuchen’s son?
  • He Anzhou frowned. Not only was he shocked, but a sense of displeasure arose in him as well while he retracted his arm.
  • “I’m afraid you’re mistaken, Mr. Ji. This bastard—” Shen Hongmei immediately altered her words as Ji Fuchen glared at her. “I mean, he’s a child born out of wedlock because of Min Qing’s promiscuous ways. How can a prominent man like you sow your seed in places like dirty nightclubs, Mr. Ji?”
  • Shen Hongmei refused to believe that Min Lingrui was Ji Fuchen’s son.
  • Min Shan’er couldn’t believe it either. “With technology so advanced these days, some people would have their children go through plastic surgery to look like you, then use them to gain fame. Don’t fall for this b*tch’s schemes, Mr. Ji. Take a DNA test, and the truth will be revealed.”
