Chapter 14 Kick Her Out

  • Jiang Jie’s temper calmed as she realized she had made a wrong judgment. She eyed Min Qing. However, the latter just didn’t seem like a big shot trying to look modest.
  • She merely thought of Min Qing as a cheap nobody.
  • Thus, she looked down on her. Where is this b*tch from? Acting like a somebody just because she knows Ms. Min?
  • If she really is close with Ms. Min, she wouldn’t need to come looking for her this early in the morning?
  • “Did you make an appointment with Ms. Min? If not, then I’m sorry. Please leave. We have a morning meeting to resume.” Jiang Jie’s eyes looked extremely venomous. She intentionally asked Min Qing if she had made an appointment, knowing that Min Qing likely didn’t even have Min Shan’er’s number. Then, she chased Min Qing out before even awaiting a response.
  • But Min Qing didn’t leave. She remained seated, showing no intention to even get up.
  • Jiang Jie was livid. This b*tch sure has the guts. The poorer they are, the more shamelessly they behave.
  • “Do you not understand me? Please leave,” Jiang Jie said with a raised voice. “You don’t own GK. It’s not a place where you can do whatever you please. Even if you know Ms. Min, I won’t let you interfere with my morning meeting.
  • “If you still don’t leave, I’m going to ask security to drag you out.” Jiang Jie chased Min Qing out for the third time, but the latter remained unmoving, causing Jiang Jie’s blood to boil.
  • “What’s your name?” Min Qing suddenly asked with a voice so unbelievably calm.
  • “Huh... Did I hear wrongly? Did you ask for my name? Who do you think you are? Are you implying you have the right to ask Ms. Min to fire me?” Jiang Jie felt Min Qing was really pushing her over the edge.
  • Min Qing suddenly got up and stared coldly at Jiang Jie. “Listen well: I don’t need Min Shan’er to fire you. I can do that myself.”
  • Jiang Jie shuddered as she suddenly felt an invisible pressure.
  • The other personnel watched the entire spectacle. They dared not say a word or help Jiang Jie. Choosing to stay out of other people’s businesses was common sense in this society, after all.
  • They were hired after Min Shan’er took over, so none of them recognized Min Qing. They could only try to guess who this woman was.
  • “You really think you’re a big shot, huh? Why don’t you take a good look at yourself in the mirror? Do you think you can afford GK? From the looks of it, you probably can’t even buy 1% of its shares! You want to fire me? Sure! I’ll wait,” Jiang Jie said arrogantly.
  • At this very moment, Jiang Ya entered the meeting room, panting. He saw Min Qing at first sight.
  • Adjusting his glasses, he said, “Sorry, I’m late.”
  • “You’re just in time, Mr. Jiang. This woman is causing a ruckus early in the morning. She wanted to see Ms. Min without an appointment. When I chased her out, she threatened to fire me instead of leaving! Isn’t she hilarious?”
  • Jiang Ya was very capable and even owned some company shares, so Jiang Jie respected him a great deal. She began complaining the moment Jiang Ya entered, hoping to get the man on her side.
  • “She’s not hilarious. You are. If she said she’s firing you, then you don’t have to come to work anymore from now on.”
  • Jiang Ya’s words struck Jiang Jie like a lightning bolt.
  • “W-Why?” Jiang Jie asked in a shrill voice, unable to believe her ears.
  • “Because she’s Min Qing, the daughter of GK’s founder!”
