  • Teegan took a deep breath and released it silently. She could see the knife in Celia’s hand but refused to give in and look at it. To do that would be giving into fear and there was no room for that inside her right now. She had to stay focused and on point. Energy vibrated through her, filling her.
  • Wiping the wet hair back from her face, Celia scowled at her. “Enough playing.” Raising the knife above her head, she reached up with her other hand and sliced the blade over her palm. “I free my blood into the night. With dark light and strength, I demand you heed my call.”
  • Teegan inhaled through her nose and kept her hands steady as she raised them slowly. The power from the earth filled her, warming her. She kept her eyes on Celia, listening to each word, working through numerous countering suggestions in her mind. In her thoughts she spoke softly to the elements around her, coaxing them to stay with her throughout this. Moon, keep me safe from her harm.
