Chapter 23

  • She moved quickly through the office, not certain whether it was from wanting to meet deadlines or nervous energy left over from the night before. Leland had been able to turn her eyes back to the right color, and for that she was thankful. She had been so amped up over the news of the other women having all the wrong kinds of help, she couldn’t focus to do it herself. What she would have done if she’d had to come to work this morning with brown eyes she had no idea. Wes had paced around her apartment like a caged animal, his level of anxiety was not helping her calm vibes in any sort of way. Tonight was her first lesson in magic and still hours later she wasn’t sure if that was a good or bad thing.

  • Ann looked up and grinned. “Of course.” Leaning back in the tall chair she looked her over from feet up. “So, how was the trip?”
