Chapter 37

  • Teegan waited all day for one of them to let her know if he had found out who had done that to Celia. It had almost been if they were avoiding her, never pausing until they weren’t alone, so she couldn’t discuss it. She felt like everything she needed to know was being withheld from her. How was she supposed to do what she needed to do if they weren’t sharing all of the information?

Maybe sitting alone in an abandoned building was part of the distraction, she felt a little weird sitting here trying to get things to happen all by herself. Not to mention her concentration was seriously lacking tonight.
  • The door swung open and both men walked in. Neither of them had a good expression on their face. “I was beginning to think you’d forgotten about me.”
