Chapter 6 How Dare You Seduce My Husband?

  • It took Milicent half an hour to get to Fulbright Group. After arguing with the security at the front desk for a long time, she finally got in the elevator with Jarold's help. "Go to the right. Hansel's office will be at the end. I have other matters, so I can't take you there. Can you find your own way?" Milicent quickly nodded and thanked Jarold. "Mm. Thank you, Jarold!"
  • "You're welcome."
  • Milicent couldn't help but shake her head in exasperation. They clearly share the same blood. One is gentle and courteous, while the other is so annoying. Milicent took a deep breath and walked to the end.
  • When she finally saw the door of Hansel's office, Milicent was about to knock when it opened, and an unknown figure was pushed out. Milicent couldn't dodge in time and was struck to the ground by the figure.
  • "Ah! Hansel! How can you do this to me?!" Milicent realized that a woman with heavy make-up and disheveled clothes had knocked her down. The woman quickly crawled up and pointed to the person inside as she cursed.
  • Hansel had a dark, frightening gaze and a threatening presence as he sat in his wheelchair. His thin lips parted. "Get lost."
  • "You!" The woman was so furious her hand started trembling. "Hansel Fulbright, who do you think you are? If you weren't the Fulbright family's second son, would I even bat an eye at you? You're just a cripple. Do you really think so highly of yourself? How dare you keep refusing me?"
  • Hansel's gaze suddenly turned cold and darkened after being called a cripple. Just as the woman was about to continue swearing at Hansel, Milicent, who was at the side, suddenly got up and said, "Miss, even if Hansel is physically disabled, aren't you eagerly throwing yourself at him? You're just angry because you can't get his attention!"
  • The pretty woman who was taunted immediately turned to Milicent, pointed at her, and said sharply, "Who are you? Is this your place to speak?"
  • Milicent smiled. She went forward, raised her hand, and gave the woman a sudden hard slap. 'Smack!' The sound echoed through the hallway. "How dare you slap me?" The woman covered her face in disbelief. 'Smack!' The sound reverberated as Milicent slapped the woman again.
  • Milicent, who was almost six feet tall, had an imposing presence, although she wore flats and didn't have make-up. She looked down at the woman, who was stunned from being slapped. "I'm Hansel's wife. How dare you seduce my husband in front of me? Do you think I'll just stand by and do nothing?"
  • The woman was still pointing at Milicent indignantly, so Milicent said aggressively, "Why are you still here? Should I call security to pick you up and throw you to the streets?" She pretended to take out her cell phone to call security.
  • "Y-You…" The embarrassed woman covered her swollen face. Before leaving, she said resentfully, "Watch out. I'll make you kneel and beg me sooner or later!" Milicent raised her hand, acting as if she were about to slap the woman again, which immediately scared the woman off.
  • Upon seeing the initially timid Milicent suddenly turn into another person before him, Hansel's gaze darkened subconsciously as he looked at her curiously and probingly. He had complex feelings… When Milicent turned to look at him, Hansel immediately returned to his usual cold appearance. He said nonchalantly, "It seems I've underestimated you."
  • Milicent shrugged unconcernedly. "Although we're married on paper, we're still husband and wife. As your wife, how can I allow another woman to seduce and slander my husband?"
  • Hansel was briefly stunned when he heard her say it so casually. When he noticed he had lost his composure, he immediately sneered coldly. "Hmph. Divorced women are so experienced. They can call just about anyone their husband, huh?" His sarcastic remarks made Milicent frown.
  • After thinking of the task Master Fulbright had assigned her, Milicent walked behind Hansel and grabbed the handles of his wheelchair. "Alright, I've walked to the office as you demanded. You should keep your word, right?" Before waiting for him to respond, Milicent pushed him inside, asking, "What do you need me to do?"
  • Hansel didn't answer, but he suddenly had an aggressive demeanor. He sneered. "It seems you're really trying to mess with me." Milicent pursed her lips. "I don't want to be your assistant, but this is what Grandpa wants."
  • "Are you using him to threaten me?" His deep voice was threatening.
  • "Why would I? I'm a victim, too. Can't you be more understanding?"
  • Milicent noticed that the office was quite messy. Some documents had even been scattered on the ground. It must have been the work of the woman who had just left. With this in mind, she crouched down to pick up the documents, arranged them, and placed them on the desk.
  • Hansel had a sinister gaze when he witnessed her actions. She's just a vain woman who's the old man's spy. I can't believe I was moved by what she did. What a joke. She probably did that so she could get close to me! But I must admit she has much better techniques than other women I've encountered.
  • Gary happened to come in at this time. "Mr. Hansel, the meeting will start in five minutes." Gary was momentarily startled when he saw Milicent. He didn't expect her to walk to the company.
  • Hansel initially wanted Gary to wheel him out of the room, but he suddenly thought of something. A savage expression flickered across his eyes. "You want to be my assistant? Very well. I'll give you a chance."
