Chapter 2 Convention

  • "Okay, sir," she said.
  • "Make copies of the document and give them to both of them. Let’s see how serious they are about doing their internship in my company," he stated.
  • "Alright, I am on it sir, I will get the both of them on it," she replied as she walked out of his office and shut the door behind her.
  • Scotts company is the most reputable art company in Los Angeles, all the new college graduate’s dreams of working in his company, so every year Mrs. Campbell shortlists the two best candidates to do their internship in the company.
  • A couple of hours later, Mike walked into Scott’s office,
  • "The car is ready, sir," Mike informed.
  • "Alright, let’s go," he replied as he stood up from his chair.
  • Scott adjusted his tie and walked out of the office, with Mike walking behind him. As he walked down the hallway, he saw Mrs. Campbell, coming out of her office.
  • "I want everything to be perfect for the convention, make sure there are no slip ups," he stated in a rumbling tone.
  • "Of course, sir," she assured, as she did a half bow.
  • "Okay, see you tomorrow," he said as he continued walking down the hallway, with Mike behind him.
  • Three days later,
  • It was finally the day of the convention, Scott was still in his bedroom, getting ready to leave for the office. He was standing in front of his mirror, adjusting his tie. After he was done, he carried his briefcase from on top of his bed and walked out of the room. Mike was waiting outside his door. As soon as he got out.
  • "Let me help you with that, sir," Mike took the briefcase from his hand.
  • "Let’s go," he replied.
  • Scott Garcia was 29 years old. He has dark hair. He is muscular, with blue eyes. Ever since he was a kid, he has always wanted to have his own Art Company, He attended Harvard University and came out on top of his class, after that his mother funded him to start his own company. That was when he built Garcia Artistic Empire at the time, he was the youngest CEO of an art company in Los Angeles, he strived hard to make his company one of the best and most recognized Art company in the world, and he has successfully done that throughout the years. Now his company is worth Billions of dollars.
  • Scott and Mike both arrived at Scott’s driveway. His mansion was very big, he has a beautiful landscape, with multiple cars parked in his driveway and a secured gating system. His driver was standing at the side of the car door. One of his favorite car brands was Ferrari. He walked towards the car his driver was standing close to and got into the backseat while Mike got into the front seat with the driver. The driver started the car and drove off.
  • They arrived at the front of the company, the driver came down from the car, went around and opened the door for Scott to come down. He came down from the car and walked towards the entrance of the building, while Mike was behind him. As he walked down the hallway, he noticed that almost all the offices and cubicles were empty,
  • Maybe they are all at the conference hall, he thought.
  • He took the elevator to the top floor with Mike close to him. As they came down from the elevator, they both walked towards his office. They arrived inside his office, Scott sat down in his chair, while Mike was standing in front of him. He carried his phone and called Mrs. Campbells, she answered the call.
  • "Is everything ready?" he asked.
  • "Yes sir, the guests are arriving one by one. When are you coming, sir?"
  • "I will be there in a couple of minutes," he said.
  • "I hope the new interns did a good job while working on the arrangement?" he asked.
  • "Yes sir, they did." she replied.
  • "Okay, see you soon," he said as he ended the call.
  • A couple of minutes later, Scott stood up from his office chair and went out of his office. Mike walked behind him. A few minutes later, they both entered the conference hall. The hall was filled with a lot of rich people. Scott walked towards the podium that was situated at the front of the conference hall. As he got there, Mrs. Campbell was standing next to the alter.
  • "Here you go, sir," Mrs. Campbell said as she handed over a file to him.
  • Scott took the file from her hand and stood on the podium with her standing close to him.
  • Scott started by welcoming the guests to the event. He started the auctioning of the art works. All the art works were arranged in front of the stage so that everyone could see them. After about an hour of auctioning the arts, all the art works Were sold out, Jennifer was the one taking note of all the sales. Scott left the conference hall with Mike.
  • Meanwhile, Jennifer was still in the conference hall. Mrs. Campbell walked up to her.
  • "You need to go show the boss, the list of the buyers, in his office, I think he might be waiting for you," Mrs. Campbell said gazing at her.
  • "Alright, I will get going," Jennifer replied.
  • Jennifer walked out of the conference hall and walked towards Scott's office. As she got there, she saw Mike standing in front of his office door.
  • "I want to see the boss," Jennifer said, staring at Mike.
  • "Wait here, let me go inform him," Mike replied.
  • Mike walked into the office. Moments later, he came out and told her to go in that Scott was waiting for her.
  • She entered the office and walked towards his desk. She saw that Scott was lying back in his revolving chair.
  • "Can I have a seat, sir?" Jennifer asked in a soft tone.
  • "Have a seat," he replied as he sat upright.
  • She sat down.
  • "You are here with the list of buyers, right?" He inquired as he clasped his hand on his desk.
  • "Yes sir, here you go," she replied as handed the list over to him.
  • As Scott took the list from her and went through it, Jennifer was staring at him.
