- “What are you referring to as a strange voice?” Clarissa asked in a baffled tone, her gaze darting across the room as if trying to spot the unseen.
- But Uncle Vix’s eyes lingered on them strangely. Were they even human? If they were, why couldn’t they see what he was seeing? The roof still dripped red, the walls oozed with streams of blood, the window was smeared with dark stains. Everywhere he looked, the blood followed—and yet they stood there, blind to it.
- “Take a look around and see for yourselves!” Uncle Vix shouted, pointing wildly. “The roof! The windows! The walls! They’re covered in blood—everywhere! Can’t you see it?”
