• “I will do all it takes to save Mom and Grandpa!” Oliver’s voice thundered through the room. His eyes burned with fire as he spoke to Mr. Vale. “If not for anything, then at least for Zora’s sake. I won’t let her parents meet her in the grave. I promised her I would protect them, and I’ll do whatever it takes to keep that promise.”
• Mr. Vale had urged him again to involve Team Elite in the search for Miranda and Ronald Carson, but Oliver’s resolve was immovable. Ten hours had passed since the call, and the so-called experts from Team Grey and Elite had gotten nowhere.
• Oliver had demanded information from the number Dixon used to call, but every search ended with the same frustrating result: No information found.
