Chapter 84 Book 1: Chapter 84

• After coming back from Charles’ parents house, we stayed together out in the city celebrating his disconnection with his family. We didn’t even sleep as I ended up driving his car back to pack house. Alpha was standing outside, a smirk on his face as he came forward and helped Charles into the house. He had had so much to drink, he passed out without waking up the entire two hour drive back.
• Silas ended up putting Charles in my room and I flopped onto the bed next to him, falling asleep pretty quickly. When I woke up, Charles was gone but there was a sweet little note on the table next to me saying that he needed to go to work and didn’t want to wake me up but to text him when I did. Of course, we ended up busy and I wasn’t able to see him the next day or even the day after but we were able to finally go out for dinner when he got the night shift swapped from a coworker.
• We went to a steakhouse in town that was incredible and it was even better because Charles had dressed up. He looked incredible and even though he said I did as well, I had a feeling that it was nowhere near the feeling I felt when staring at him most of dinner. We talked more and I told him that at some point I would love for him to meet my parents. Surprisingly, his family didn’t seem to scar him because he happily agreed.
