• Taking a deep breath, I grabbed my drink and downed it. “I don’t get how you can be so level headed about everything.”
• “It’s my job. It was my job to keep you and Nate out of trouble. Now, it’s my job to make sure I keep trouble off the streets of my town. It takes a level head and an understanding of how the world actually works. Not just the little bubble you’ve grown up in.”
