Chapter 70 Book 1: Chapter 70

  • It was hard to convince Silas that it would be alright but I did my best. My Dad left after dropping that bomb and a long list of things I needed to do to ensure that I would be alright till then. His overbearing and overprotectiveness was coming off him in waves but I couldn’t fault him. It was the last time I was ever going to see him. Silas left, still reeling but a little more stable as I gave him a list of things he needed to do.
  • Right now, we had a bit of time. We would need it too. The Hunters were trying to gather enough of a force to actually compete with Silas’ pack. However, I didn’t know if they knew how many of my force they knew I had. It was going to be a chore pulling them all together but I knew I could within a reasonable amount of time. I started going through the checklist of things I needed to start in motion as I walked up the stairs.
  • Halfway up, I grabbed the railing Noah had installed. The numbness in my leg was starting to creep in more and more. Squeezing my eyes shut, I tried to rub my leg and get a little feeling back into it. It hurt as it tingled but I started to use my arm to pull it up to the next step. Taking a deep breath, I opened up the door to our living quarters. I was met by two very livid wolves. Noah had been pacing against the window, his arms crossed over his chest. Finn was sitting on the edge of the bed, his head had obviously been buried in his hands the whole time. Both of their heads whipped up to mine and Noah stomped over to me.
