• The motel room was dark, the only sources of light being a small lamp on the bedside table and the moon peeking through the curtains. Jessica sat on the edge of the bed, her expression hard. Trey stood in front of her, holding the bag filled with cash, his eyes pleading.
• "This is a lot of cash, Jessica. We can at least escape out of New York with these," Trey urged desperately.
• Jessica sighed heavily, slouching back on the bed. "I'm not backing down, Trey. So you can forget about that," she said, shaking her head. "And besides, we were nearly caught by Liam."
