Chapter 89 0089
- Alex's POV
- The evening air was thick with tension as I parked my car in front of Henry’s house. It had been far too long since I’d last seen my cousin. The last interaction we’d had was a heated argument where words were thrown like daggers—sharp, hurtful, and all aimed to pierce. I couldn’t remember precisely how it had escalated, but I could vividly recall the feeling of our familial bond snapping under the weight of unresolved issues and misunderstandings.
- As I stepped out of the car, the world around me seemed indifferent to my internal turmoil. The sun hung low, casting a golden hue on the suburban landscape. It was a beautiful evening, but my heart felt heavy. I hadn't driven three hours just to watch the sunset. I was here to confront the shadows of our past and, hopefully, to let them go.
