Chapter 19 Beggining
- The air in the basement was thick with the scent of damp stone and the unspoken tension that crackled between the men and the woman standing before them. Alexa, her face a mask of simmering rage, felt the weight of their fear pressing against her like a physical force. Her gaze, sharp and cold, swept across the faces of her men, their once-imposing figures now slumped and defeated.
- "Where is she?" Alexa's voice was a low growl, each word laced with icy venom, echoing through the cavernous space. "Didn't I make it clear? Chantria was to be brought back to me today. Now, tell me, where is she?"
- The men, their heads bowed, exchanged nervous glances. They knew the consequences of failure, and the fear in their eyes was evident. The air hung heavy with the unspoken threat of her father's wrath, a force even more terrifying than Alexa's own fury.
