• I only give a smile at Chanel’s words. There was no telling how things would go when I returned home. I was sure that my father would be against my choice to dissolve the engagement between Kate and me, but even then, I wouldn’t go along with it. Once that issue was solved, I would slowly win over Rosalie’s affection.
