• The next morning, I make my way toward Kate’s hut, and with satisfaction, I take in how empty it is. Good. She took me seriously, and now I just had to wait to see if she actually blabbed to our fathers about my intentions with Rosalie.
• Turning, I slam the door shut and make my way onto the street, where the villagers are going about their day. Their eyes follow me as I pass, but I don’t stop. Instead, I head straight for the hut that Chanel is occupying and bang on the door.
