Chapter 4 Day Six: The Alphas Jealousy

  • Dear dairy, it's Day Six, I'm greatly confused. Do you also think that I am a fool? For not able to avoid them, or take my stand against their cruel games with my heart?.
  • I avoided Axel’s gaze for the rest of the day, my heart still racing from his touch, his whispered words. I didn’t understand him, the way he played with me like I was some sort of toy. He was dangerous, and unpredictable, but he wasn’t cruel. Not like Aiden.
  • I didn’t see any of the Alpha’s until late in the afternoon until I went picking flowers in the garden, and I saw him. He was in the garden, kneeling in the dirt as he tended to a bed of white lilies. I paused in my tracks, looking surprised. An Alpha? Gardening? I would have laughed it off if it didn’t look so beautiful. His expression was peaceful, and his hands gentle as he pruned the delicate petals.
  • I stepped closer, my curiosity getting the better of me. “You... you like flowers?”
  • He looked up, his face lighting up with a soft smile. “They were my mother’s favorite.” He gestured to the lilies, his eyes warm with affection.
  • “She used to spend hours out here, I guess it reminds me of her.” My heart softened, on sensing the pain in his voice tugging at something deep inside me. I never knew my mother, but I could see the love in his eyes, the way he touched the flowers with reverence.
  • “They’re beautiful,” I whispered, my fingers brushing the soft petals. “You take good care of them.” He laughed, the sound light, and warm.
  • “I will try. They’re delicate and fragile.” He looked at me, his gaze lingering. “Kind of like you.” I froze, my cheeks burning. “I... I’m not...”
  • “Yes, you are,” he said gently, his hand reaching out to brush a leaf from my hair. His fingers lingered, and his touch warm.
  • “You pretend to be strong... but you’re hurting. I can see it in your eyes.”.His words broke something inside me, the walls I’d built to protect myself crumbling. How could he see through me so easily? No one had ever looked at me the way he did... like I was someone worth caring about.
  • “Why... Why are you so kind to me?” I whispered, my voice trembling. “I’m just a maid...”.His eyes softened, his fingers still trailing down my cheek.
  • “You’re more than that, Aria. You’re... special.” My heart skipped a little beat, his words wrapping around me like a warm embrace.
  • “You don’t even know me...”He smiled, his face inches from mine.
  • “Then let me get to know you.” Taking me by surprise, he kissed me. His lips were soft, gentle as they brushed against mine, his kiss tender, and sweet. I should have refused his kiss, but I did not. Instead, my body melted into his, my heart soaring high as his arms wrapped around my waist, holding me close. For a moment, I forgot who we were, forgot about the world outside this garden. There was only him... and me... and the warmth of his embrace.
  • But reality dawned on me as he pulled away, his eyes filled with longing.
  • “Aria... I...” I took a step back, my heart pounding.
  • “I... I have to go...” I ran away before he could stop me, my emotions a tangled mess.
  • “What was I doing kissing the Alpha? I couldn’t fall for him, or for any of them. It was a forbidden desire. An impossible dream. And yet... my heart ached for his touch, his smile, his kindness. I was falling for him.
  • And there was no way out”.
  • Dear dairy, here I'm again with my thoughts. Its Day Seven, and I have so much to say, to write down. What should I do concerning the Alphas?.
  • The pack's monthly fighting duel is coming and everyone is preparing for it except me. I was told my place is to scrub and clean floors my entire life. I feel sorry for my wolf! I really wish I can train to make it stronger.
  • The Alphas has been busy with the preparing, or so I thought until three days later....
  • I kept my head down, my hands busy as I cleaned the kitchen floor. My heart was still racing from Asher’s kiss, my lips tingling with the memory of his touch. I couldn’t get him out of my head, his words echoing in my mind.
  • “You’re special...” No one had ever said that to me before. No one had ever looked at me like that. Like I mattered.
  • I was deep in my thoughts, when a rough hand suddenly grabbed my arm, yanking me to my feet. I gasped, my body colliding with a hard chest.
  • “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Alpha Aiden’s voice was cold, his golden eyes blazing with anger. I trembled, fear washing over me.
  • “I... I was cleaning... Alpha...” What do he want now? Can they just leave me alone?” His grip tightened on my arm, with his face darkening every second.
  • “Don’t lie to me. I saw you.” My heart stopped, panic flooding through me.
  • “I... I don’t know what you mean...”
  • Quickly, and swiftly, he slammed me against the wall, his body pinning me in place.
  • “You think I’m blind? You think I didn’t see you with my brother Asher?” His voice was a low growl, his breath hot on my skin.
  • “You were kissing him... like some common whore.” Tears filled my eyes, shame burning through me.
  • “I... I didn’t mean to...” His eyes narrowed, and his jaw clenched tightly.
  • “Do you have any idea what you’ve done? Do you even understand the trouble you’re in?” I shook my head, my body trembling.
  • “I... I’m sorry...” I whimpered weakly, tired of their unending games with me
  • “Sorry?” He laughed, the sound cold, and bitter.
  • “You’re pathetic. Do you even know what you are?” I looked away, my heart breaking. I was nothing. A maid. A weak wolf. Worthless. His fingers gripped my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze.
  • “You’re mine,” he growled, his eyes blazing. “You belong to me. Not Asher... not Axel. Me.” My breath caught, his words sending a shiver through me.
  • “I... I don’t understand...” His lips suddenly crashed against mine, his kiss is fierce, and possessive, unlike Alpha Asher gentle kiss.
  • While his body pressed me harder against the wall, my mind spun wildly, my senses overwhelmed by his scent, his taste, his touch.
  • He kissed me like he was claiming me, like he was branding me as his. My heart raced, my body melting under his assault, my knees going weak just like always.
  • Suddenly, he pulled away, his eyes darkened with jealousy.
  • “You’re mine, Aria. Remember that.” His voice was raw, his fingers digging into my skin.
  • “No one touches you... no one... but me.”My heart thundered violently against my chest, my emotions a chaotic storm. I didn’t understand him, his anger, his jealousy.
  • “Why did he care? Why did he kiss me... like that?” His eyes flickered with something almost... vulnerable. But it was gone before I could name it, his face hardening as he released me.
  • “Stay away from my brother Asher,” he ordered, his voice cold.
  • “I won’t warn you again.” Just like his style, he walked away, his shoulders tense, and his fists still clenched.
  • Slowly I sank to the floor, my body shaking, and my lips tingling from his kiss. I didn’t understand him... the way he looked at me, the way his touch set my body on fire.
  • But one thing was clear. Aiden wasn’t just cruel, he was possessive as well.
  • And his jealousy was a dangerous thing. I need to stay away from him.
