Chapter 14 Cold Hearted
- “Your grandmother is resting in the backyard. There's no need to rush. Sit down and talk with your sisters first.” Elizabeth smiled and tried to ease the atmosphere, as she did not want everyone to get disgruntled because of Seraphina's attitude.
- As a matter of fact, no one would feel dissatisfied, as none of them were close to Seraphina.
- Just then, Susan Hoult, the third daughter of the Hoult family, glanced at her watch impatiently, picked up her jacket, and went out. “I have an interview at noon, so I have to go do my makeup. I won't be eating with you guys later.”
- She was a famous celebrity specializing in movies, and all her co-stars were A-list celebrities as well.
- Hence, she was a little arrogant and imperious.
- When she passed by Seraphina, she stopped in her tracks and commented, “We won't let this slide, Sera. The b*tch who seduced Denver is Joey Lake, right? I'll make sure that she can't survive in the entertainment industry anymore. What a shameless b*tch!”
- Before Seraphina could say anything, Susan had already left.
- “Sera, bring Lucien over here for some tea,” said Elizabeth with a smile on her face.
- Turning around to look at Lucien, Seraphina asked, “Do you like drinking tea?”
- “I guess so,” he replied indifferently.
- “Then you should have a cup of tea with them. I'll go and see Grandma.”
- Having said that, Seraphina left without looking back and ignored the other family members.
- Lucien had heard that she had a bad relationship with her family. Judging from her behavior, he was pretty sure that it was true.
- She did not even bother to pretend that they were close.

- Thus, he said with a smile, “I like Sera's personality. My parents like her, too, and they don't think she's cold-hearted. As for Denver, no matter how his temper is, it has nothing to do with Sera now. If someone dares to bully Sera in the future, I won't let them off easily.”
