Chapter 14 Divorce Settlement Agreement

  • Laelim couldn't believe what he'd just witnessed. Purcell, a tough guy in his own right, got taken down by Jaymore's punch.
  • "Mr. Reed, are you even real?" Laelim mumbled, snapping out of his daze.
  • To Laelim, Jaymore seemed more like a monster than a regular guy.
  • Jaymore rolled his eyes at the comment and replied, "I'm definitely not a ghost. Do I look like one?"
  • Laelim chuckled at Jaymore's response. Pulling out a check from his pocket with a flattering smile, he offered, "Mr. Reed, here's thirty million as a thank-you. Please take it!"
  • This time, Jaymore accepted Laelim's offer. He grabbed the thirty million cash check without a second thought.
  • "Just remember what you promised, or you might end up like Purcell," Jaymore warned as he left.
  • Ring, ring, ring...
  • Jaymore's phone began ringing as he was leaving. He looked at the screen and saw that it was Chelsea, his wife. "Honey..."
  • "Where are you? Get back here now!" Chelsea's voice came through urgently before she hung up abruptly.
  • Jaymore sighed at the sudden end of the call, shaking his head with a smile. He hailed a cab and headed straight for Moore Residence.
  • Before long, Jaymore arrived at Moore Residence.
  • "Honey, what's going on? Why'd you call me back?" Jaymore asked, eyeing Chelsea curiously.
  • "Jaymore, this is our divorce settlement agreement. You need to sign it," Chelsea stated, snapping the document down in front of him.
  • Jaymore's expression changed in an instant as he looked at the document. "Hold on, you brought me back just to get a divorce?" he asked, staring at Chelsea in disbelief.
  • Chelsea's tone was cold as ice. "Yes, I called you back to end it. We're from different worlds, and you're not up to my standards."
  • "Heh," Jaymore suddenly laughed.
  • Upon hearing his laughter, Chelsea frowned and asked, "Jaymore, did I say something funny?"
  • "Well, Chelsea, you've always thought you were above me, but you don't know who your husband really is." As his words trailed off, Jaymore's attitude shifted unexpectedly.
  • At that moment, Jaymore emitted an intimidating aura that could only belong to the true Estren's God of War—Jaymore Reed!
  • Despite his attempts to patch things up in their marriage, Chelsea's coolness and desire for a divorce had flipped the script. Now, Jaymore had the power to destroy the entire Moore Family if he wanted to.
  • "I've put up with you all this time because marrying me turned you into a joke in Walstino. I wanted to make up for the years of humiliation you faced. Without my love, you're nothing but a speck in my eyes!" Jaymore sneered.
  • Chelsea sneered, "Jaymore, is this how you explain away your failure? Who are you, really? You were just a vagrant before. If it weren't for marrying into my family, you'd be starving on the streets."
  • "Now that I'm divorcing you, what's the point of saying all this? It just adds to the embarrassment! Get out now! Plenty of rich and mighty men in Walstino would marry me without you," she continued.
  • "Well, if that's what you want," Jaymore replied, wasting no time in signing the divorce settlement agreement. After he had done so, he turned and walked away.
  • As Jaymore left, Chelsea mocked, "Jaymore, words mean nothing without power. You'll always be a pathetic worm in the face of real strength. Even if I, Chelsea Moore, were to kick the bucket, I'd never be caught dead with someone like you!"
  • With that, disdain filled Chelsea's face as she watched Jaymore go.
